For coaches and helpers preparing a scanning device

Install Marathon Kids Connect, the Marathon Kids Scanner App, on the device you will use to scan participant ID cards.

Search for Marathon Kids Connect, or open its <a href="https://apps.apple.com/us/app/marathon-kids-connect/id1466546488" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">App Store listing</a>.

Check that the developer is Marathon Kids and install the app.

Open the app to sign in or join a coach’s live session.

1. Open the App Store.
2. Search for Marathon Kids Connect, or open its <a href="https://apps.apple.com/us/app/marathon-kids-connect/id1466546488" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">App Store listing</a>.
3. Check that the developer is Marathon Kids and install the app.
4. Open the app to sign in or join a coach’s live session.

Open Google Play on your Android phone, tablet, or compatible Chromebook.

Search for Marathon Kids Connect, or open its <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=marathonkids.sltscanner&amp;hl=en_US" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Google Play listing</a>.

If the store offers the app for your device, install it.

2. Search for Marathon Kids Connect, or open its <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=marathonkids.sltscanner&amp;hl=en_US" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Google Play listing</a>.
3. If the store offers the app for your device, install it.
4. Open the app to sign in or join a coach’s live session.

If a school-managed device cannot access the store or install the app, ask your school’s device administrator for help.

Do I need my own Marathon Kids account to help scan?

A coach or authorized Supporter signs in to start a session. A helper can use Join Live Session from the login screen without creating an account.

You need a connection to download the app, sign in or join a session, and upload scans. Once a device has joined a session, it can continue scanning offline and sync when reconnected.

Install Marathon Kids Connect on a compatible scanning device and choose your next step.
