Dear Parents/Guardians:

We are excited to introduce you to a new program: "The Girls Movement" a Marathon Kids program, which your daughter {is invited to participate in, will participate in, was selected to participate in}. Marathon Kids, a non-profit, provides a free, evidence-based, youth running program.

The Girls Movement program is designed to empower girls through running. It seeks to address the significant inequality in youth sports participation, as girls drop out of sports at twice the rate of boys by age 14.

The program details will be as follows: {Insert: Time, Day(s), Location}.

Through the program, participants and coaches can monitor progress, achieve goals, and enjoy physical activity in a girls-only environment. Girls will socialize and laugh together, and achieve more than they thought possible.

The Girls Movement will focus on achieving three key goals:

  • Building Confidence: Participants will be empowered to set and achieve personal running goals, developing lasting confidence in their abilities.

  • Developing Character: Lessons that emphasize character values such as resilience, determination, and teamwork.

  • Foster connection: Create a support network that encourages shared experiences, friendships, and a sense of belonging.

I invite you to support us on this exciting journey to empower our girls through The Girls Movement program. If you have any questions or would like more information about the program, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Cordially,
