Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are thrilled to introduce a new program: "The Girls Movement" through Marathon Kids, that your child {is invited to join, will be participating in, was recruited for}.

This new initiative is designed to empower girls through running. It addresses the significant disparity in youth sports participation, where girls drop out at twice the rate of boys by age 14.

The details of the program will be as follows {Insert: Time, Day(s), Location}.

Marathon Kids is an evidence-based program that helps grow self-confident, active kids one lap at a time. Through the program, participants and coaches can monitor their progress to help accomplish their goals, have fun being active in an all-girl environment, socialize and laugh with one another, and conquer more than they thought possible.

The Girls Movement will be focusing on achieving three key goals:

  • Confidence Building: Participants will be empowered to set and achieve personal running goals to build lasting confidence in their abilities.

  • Character Development: A targeted running curriculum will emphasize strong character values such as resilience, determination, and teamwork.

  • Cultivating Connection: This creates a supportive network that encourages shared experiences, friendships, and a sense of belonging.

I invite you to support us in this exciting journey of empowering our girls through "The Girls Movement" program. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about the program, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Warm regards,
