The Marathon Kids Student Data Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect personal and student data to ensure privacy and security. It explains the types of information collected, how it is used, and the measures in place to safeguard it.

We work with school districts across the US to sign the district's student data policy so you get approved to use the program. Please send any documents to support@marathonkids.org.

Marathon Kids collects various types of information to support its programs, including personal details such as name, email, and family information when you sign up or donate. We also collect student information from schools, such as name, grade, and lap data, as well as usage data like browser type, operating system, and IP address. This information is used to facilitate participation, communicate program updates, improve our services, and ensure legal compliance.

We share collected information with schools, teachers, and administrators, as well as with third-party service providers who assist in delivering our programs. We do not sell or use student data for commercial purposes. We may also share anonymized, aggregate data with partners or researchers, and we ensure that any sharing complies with legal requirements.

You have choices regarding your data, including opting out of marketing communications and disabling cookies, though this may affect some features. Marathon Kids is committed to safeguarding personal and student data through encryption and password protection, with a breach response plan in place. We do not use student data for commercial purposes, and all information is retained for educational purposes only. You can modify or delete your information by logging in or contacting us directly.
